I have started to "nest"-trying to get things organized and done so that the last few weeks I can relax. Also, it is helping to know what other stuff we need get. We were blessed this week with a big tub of clothes from a friend. I spent a little time yesterday going through and separating the sizes out. I put the bigger sizes in a small bin and kept the smaller sizes out.
I also got my trial diapers from Jillian's Drawers yesterday. This is the place where I can use the diapers for around 21 days to see which ones I like. I can return the whole stash or keep what I like and only get charged for the diapers I keep. I got them early because I have been dying to see what they are like, and to go ahead and get them washed. There are not very many of them, so I guess the first few weeks, we'll use both cloth and disposable.
The dresser is put together, though the nursery is still in chaos, as I need to figure out the configuration of where I really want the items. Once the furniture is where it needs to be, I can start putting away the clothes and shower gifts.
How big is our baby?
Pete has now grown to be about 15.15 inches long (CHL) and weighs about 3 pounds.*
What is happening with our baby?
Our baby’s eyes are becoming more mature, and now he can tell the difference between light and dark. Babies at 30 weeks can even follow a light source with his eyes. Once he is born, he will spend a great deal of time with his eyes closed. This is completely normal. Newborns only have the ability to focus on objects a few inches from their faces. While “normal” adult vision is 20/20, a newborn’s vision is 20/400.**these are approximate
